Starting June 2025, digital accessibility will be mandatory due to the implementation of the European Accessibility Act (EAA). This specifically applies to applications that are publicly accessible. However, accessible applications are simply better applications. Therefore, our clients are increasingly asking for assistance in making their applications more accessible. The first step is to assess their current status. To assist with this, we have developed a Quickscan.

The Approach

We approach digital accessibility in a smart way. Instead of reviewing the entire application pixel by pixel, we select a defined sample. We do this together and in advance. Within that sample, we follow the WCAG-EM methodology: a proven way to specifically identify examples of what can be improved.

The advantage? We don't just point out that something is wrong, but also where. Concrete, clear, and with examples. This way, we avoid double work and provide developers with exactly the input they need. Two clear examples of buttons with insufficient contrast are much more valuable than a long list where every single button is mentioned separately.

Who it's for

Many companies are not yet ready for a full WCAG Audit. They are taking steps towards accessible applications but still need help in identifying challenges/issues and improving internal processes.

The Quickscan is intended for companies that want to easily and quickly identify the current accessibility bottlenecks in an application.

What does the quick scan deliver?

Quick results and insights into the challenges in the WCAG area

Quick results and insights into the challenges in the WCAG area

In an accessible and pragmatic way, you'll quickly see where it's best to focus your energy.

Visibility within the organization

Visibility within the organization

Show people clearly and visually where potential improvements can be made. Get concrete tools on how to achieve them.

Step towards WCAG certification

Step towards WCAG certification

A comprehensive audit initially involves a lot of overhead that doesn't address the low-hanging fruit. In this iterative setup, we tackle that together so we can move towards certification well-prepared.

Project Outputs

One

Accessibility Report

We provide a clear and visual report on the WCAG criteria, including the results of the sample test (pass/no-pass). If a criterion is not met, we clearly explain why and suggest a possible solution, if an obvious one exists.

2

Workshop

We will conduct a workshop with all stakeholders, where we will go through the report. There will be room for questions and discussion.

Take the first step

Accessible applications are important. Not just because they have to be, but also because accessible applications are better. They help focus on the desires and needs of end-users. They shift the organization's mindset and enhance the understanding that end-users determine the success of an application.

Download the checklist

For organizations that have no insight into the requirements of the WCAG yet but are interested in the topic, or for individuals who aim to develop better applications themselves, we offer a WCAG Checklist.
