Meet Kimberley, our new intern

Every six months, we welcome a new intern who joins us to learn, contribute, and grow. For the next few months, Kimberley will be interning with us at Okapion as a UX Design intern.

During her internship, she is discovering what it's like to work as a UX designer within an enterprise UX agency. She works alongside the team, shadows different projects, and is given the space to get hands-on with a wide range of UX tasks. We asked Kimberley a few questions to get to know her better.

What do you hope to learn at Okapion?

I hope to learn what it's like to work with a team for clients and to help improve their way of working. I think it would be really cool to develop my research skills further and learn how to apply them better to my Figma skills.

In addition, I want to refine my own way of working so that I am ready for a professional collaboration. And of course, I also hope to pick up tips and tricks from my colleagues for a great office atmosphere and the best music to work to.

Why did you choose an internship at Okapion?

I chose Okapion because it isn't your typical design or marketing agency. The UX/UI side really appeals to me because I want to put meaning behind my designs, not just make something look pretty.

I feel like Okapion is a great example of this. They do a lot of research into what a client truly needs and come up with creative, fitting solutions. On top of that, it's a cozy agency with a tight-knit team that works really well together. That is exactly the kind of working atmosphere I was looking for in my internship.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Spontaneous, cool, and mysterious.

We are delighted to have Kimberley as part of our team for the coming months and look forward to everything she will learn, discover, and contribute.

Welcome to Okapion, Kimberley!
